Artifacts
Some leagues preserve their histories in cabinets, binders, and confidently numbered appendices. The Offbeat League, having never trusted a neat shelf for longer than a week, leaves behind stranger evidence.
What survives are not always records in the ordinary sense. They are artifacts: pages that try to explain the league, defend it, summon it, or survive it. Some read like declarations. Some read like warnings. Some seem to have acquired authority simply because enough people kept pointing to them during moments of confusion.
For now, two pieces matter more than most.
Manifesto
The league’s clearest statement of intent remains the Manifesto. If you want to know what the Offbeat League believes when it is feeling especially certain about uncertainty, start there.
Rulebook
The Rulebook is less a finished legal structure than a record of the principles and prohibitions the league has managed to keep in view. It is useful precisely because the league is not.
More artifacts will likely surface in time. They usually do.
